Hee hee to be honest, Prob123, I wouldn't know what a "Poutine" is either
Well, as the great Robespierre Burns put it:
"Fair fa' your honest, sonsie face,
Great chieftain o' the poutine-race!"
I can't help wondering if "poutine" isn't in some way related to "butty" (both vowel sounds are identical - we don't pronounce it "bUti", but more like "bOOtee".) The archetype is, of course, the chip butty (anything else is a mere sandwich. Even the next-noblest bacon only constitutes a sarnie.)
The chippies round here always offer gravy and grated cheese, so it does make me think there might be a connection.

AW Thanks Irina. As the president elect of the US said in his speech, I won't agree with everything he does, but at least we'll will be moving forward.

Not at all, we just sit around in our Nation Igloo and sing to the moose. It's funny

hahaha!
I particularly liked "Congratulations Canada on becoming part of North America!" - I hesitate to speculate where it's been hiding all these years if it's only just newly arrived on the continent!

Hee hee Pretty funny. You do realize they picked Arkansas to represent the US, a state which elected Huckabee and just voted to ban adoptions by non married couples (because orphaned children don't want real families instead of underfunded state agencies if the family isn't exactly like the one on "Leave it to Beaver"). The video did make me laugh though.
I would like you to send that woman (Marge?) to interview Prescient Bush as he leaves office. Have you got the clout to swing that for me? Please?

There was one with Bush when he was first elected, but I can't find it.

Hee hee to be honest, Prob123, I wouldn't know what a "Poutine" is either, and I probably wouldn't correct a reporter if he told me your PM was Mr. T because a mic and a camera give the speaker assumed authority-- like a white lab coat and a "doctor" used to do. Funny all the same.

Well, here is one for anyone that didn't think Sarah Palin was the feminist choice.

There would have to be a connection what are the odds of the recipe and name being the same!
There has to be a love of cholesterol that has been passed down though out the generations. I rather picture Homer Simpson going "Yummm..gravy and cheese...on french fries.."
