I hear Hungary is a good place to be from, not visit. But that could just be some lunatic Hungarian talking. But yeah, I agree that's a good phrase to know in any language.

I loved Hungary, but I haven't been there since 1989. *sniff* And I didn't know how to formally stick the closest male with the tab either! Luckily, the US dollar was worth an awful lot of forints back then.

I'm just going on the word of someone whose grandparents immigrated. It could be better now.

Ahh, it depends when they left Hungary and why, I would guess. If they talk a lot about the "1956 revolution" or Imre Nagy, maybe they were unhappy with the Soviets. Not really a problem now, but it doesn't make everything all better.
