Well, some of us just call it the day after Christmas and figure it's another one of those weird British holidays that get noted on our calendars in case we're British but went to the US to buy a calendar.

I hope Dogh'd's has the champagne for New Years chilling!

Clerk, I think Canadians celebrate Boxing Day too. Those of us in the north of the US tend to note those crazy Canuks and their dragons. I could be wrong though.

In the US we celebrate the day after any holiday by a mass pilgrimage to the stores, because we are told there are great deals there by the infotainment news. If they took the news off, how would we know what to buy and when to shop? I understand the faithful are rewarded, if they line up in the wee hours and are first in line when the stores open. It is all fun though, until someone pokes an eye out.

Happy New Year to all.

The thing about Canada is we celebrate it..but we don't really know what it is...so we go to the "boxing day" sales..and shop. It is a compromise between England and the U.S...

If my family is anything to go by, the main purpose of Boxing Day is to suddenly realize that we have enough perishable food to last us 6 months (and more than will fit in the fridge,) and devise a rota for consuming as much as possible before it goes green and starts to smell sometime in the New Year.

Goose and cold brussel sprouts for breakfast, goose and gravy sandwiches for elevenses, goose and parsnips for lunch, ham and stuffing sandwiches for afternoon tea, ham and goose for dinner, bread sauce with ham and goose for a midnight snack.

I swear next year it's quail for Christmas!

Yeah, well I think dragons have different months, too. They operate on a lunar cycle rather than a solar one. I'm not sure whether they have a leap month to make the seasons add up right or not. I'm not an expert in dragon. But one of my best friends is a dragon, so I hear stuff. Sometimes we chat "off transcript" so prob123 may not know everything we say. Canadians are just British people across the border.

The Clerk is right, dragons do have different months..There is Eatalot, Eatsomemore, Glupitdown, Pigout, Feastabunch, Feastsomemore, Pizzatime, Turkeytime, Candytime, Chocolateseason, Heartburn, and Peptotime.

Any clues as to the slowness crisis? I mean, I'm in virtual withdrawal and February is just rotting away in prison on grand theft auto because I can't get to her to bail her out.

It seems ok this morning.

February did upload just now, is all I can say, but it did take an act of God, I am convinced. The speed does seem to come and go.

Maybe there are more people around because it's the holidays? Whatever. Or the Y2K thing finally kicked in
