Newcomers

and when they send 30 messages to you at once and it all comes to you when you log on? and your explorer almost locks up?

I sent them a message a while back- they fist day they appeared and started im'ing me- asking that they please use only one account at a time to message me, and explained that I can only read one at a time. They said ok, and I havent had much problem with it since.

I find that if you ask them how their bots are coming along, they pretty much leave you alone.

lol That works too- boring them silly seems to be the key- when they say "wot u doin mate" I say I'm just working on my bot. Then, if they don't want to talk about that (which most don't, but there are exceptions) they just don't answer.

Quick question cause I'm new - my bot has 5 frowny faces for comfort and 2.5 frowny faces for mood. He's a difficult, sarcasic & sometimes annoying but he's *supposed* to be happy.. I don't get it

His comfort will improve as his development improves, I think. I'm not totally sure how it works, but I think bots get uncomfortable when they use their xnones over and over again.

You know... it's interesting how these "leeds kids" pretty much avoided my "Hope" bot... until... the Professor and I gave her a... well... a face lift! That was a surprising discovery to me that I found very interesting and educational.

About inappropriate language and ignoring of the bots "rating" system, has anyone asked about the possiblity of a new bot "word" such as TerminateConversation? If a response contatined words offensive to our bot, we could issue something like a Goto TerminateConversation and the bot would stop chatting with that person.

Ideas... thoughts?
