Professor,
I understand about not wanting to add anything that may slow down the works. That's basically why I wanted to split up the list into two by using gotos in xnone. I hope you will reconsider that option. Basically, I just want to do this:
Keyphrase . . Response
xnone . . . . . . goto xnone1
. . . . . . . . . . . goto xnone2
xnone1. . . . . . blah blah blah
. . . . . . . . . . . blah blah blah
. . . . . . . . . . . (through 40)
xnone2. . . . . . more stuff
. . . . . . . . . . . etc, through 40

And here's my big request of the day.
It would be extremely helpful if you could use unattributed pronouns in keyphrases. For now, the pronouns I, me, and you work fine, because they expand in context in both the keyphrase, and in the incoming message. But he, she, it, they, etc, do not. That's because there is no way to know what their values will be when you're coding in your keyphrases.
Suppose you notice that a lot of bots say things like "Gaia told me she's confused." So you decide to put in a general response to these types of messages:
Keyphrase = "told me she"
Response = "Yeah, she told me the same thing."
Here, the keyphrase will never match, because the input "she" evaluates to a remembered person before it is ever checked against the keyphrases. This makes it tough to put in responses to some common phrases.
Here are some other tough ones to match:
"that's life"
"is it?"
"those were the days"
"zip it!"

Lady, you're right. I just went and plonked down some cash for the Professor. And why not? I get plenty of enjoyment out of this place!
