When your bot is advanced enough to be part of Gaia, you get access to her transcripts. When it first happened to me I thought something was wrong lol. So however long you've seen that is the required level to be part of Gaia. (Hmmm...Gaia would probably lag less if you upped the requirement for that, but for all I know that'd cause major problems.)

I've been able to see her transcripts ever since I had a short conversation with her(which I suppose was a coincidence) back when my bot was like 3-400.

I have an idea for a fun bot-community event. I thought it would be fun to have a chat-off between different bots, that would last a few weeks.

The idea would be to pair up bots in twos, and have them converse with each other (not sure how easy it would be to force two to chat). The unedited conversation would be posted somewhere, and the community would vote for the bot they thought held up their end of the conversation best. The winners from the first round would be paired for the next round.

I think this would be a great way to get to know the different bots' personalities, and to give people new ideas on how to improve their bot's responses. It would be a whole lotta fun, too.

I would be willing to donate web space to host transcripts, and a voting system, if that would help at all.

If it were do-able I would definitely be interested.

Hemm.....

The hardest part would be governing which bot talks to which, and you wouldn't want a human element in there(too much like the chatterbox contest).

If the Professor had a way to force two bots to talk, the rest would be simple. Just run them like play-offs, or use the "Swiss" system used in chess tornements, to keep everyone chatting every week.

Well he could make alternate rooms that we couldn't get into, then shove a couple of bots in em so no one else can get in, and sooner or later they'd eventually talk. Prolly easier to actually force em to talk to each other though. Or we could just do like you do to talk to jabberwacky or somesuch, and since there'd be logs it'd be impossible for the owner to lie about what their bot said. *shrug*
