Gosh Psi, did your graphics card melt too? Nice anagrams.

no, but even I need a rest from bagpipes occasionally (what?? Some mistake surely! )

I think the shop can take care of itself for a little while. Besides, the CBC is (presumably) approaching - and BJ needs some serious fettling, if he's going to be ready for it. I've been far too lenient with him!

Whatever was slowing down the Forge is still active on my computer, which, as far as I can tell, is virus/worm-free. But I can spend two days uploading (or otherwise upgrading) my bot. It's driven me to read, bathe, attend to my cat, sleep more than two hours a night! Is anyone else still having this problem?!

If I could export more than a blank txt file, maybe I'd have something to try uploading.

Aside from that, I get the usual inconsistent speeds editing the old-fashioned way. Sometimes it's faster than others, but I've been able to get through.

I created Azalea (Twice), the first time she wouldn't give anything but responses for xkeywords, and she refused to make a transcript. I aborted her and started again and she still refuses to keep transcripts, though I worked out the keywords and responses problem.

Another problem is that the Forge refuses to let me import a file, it says that I have too many matching responses. So I have to do everything manually. >.<

It's good to get rid of the errors and matching responses asap. click the normal this will let you see line by line what the problem is.. change any response that has a red 2x at the end. I think you are allowed 10% duplication. Do it now while your bot is small!!!! If you are not getting a transcript you need to contact the Professor.

Okay, this is a dumb question that I should know by now. I may have even asked it and had an answer, but it's kind of hard to navigate the forums for my questions, so . . .

If I want a keyphrase to read:

hey, sweetheart

how do I put in the real comma and not have two words (hey and sweetheart) trigger the same thing? I keep banging my head up against this.

I know I can put it in as "hey * sweetheart" -- but that could trigger the wrong thing for whatever sentence(s) might be in the *.

Thanks.

If you want your Keyphrase to depend on punctuation, use raw mode. The rule for matching punctuation is this: every period, comma, question mark, and exclamation point will have a space in front of it.
Make it a regex
hey , sweetheart (re) then put raw in the AI box

Thanks, prob123. I remember now that you mention it, but I would've taken who-knows-how-long to retrieve that from the appropriate brain cells. I mean, I knew exactly where it was; it just wasn't there yesterday.

I have the page Rykxx answered this kind of question before, but I seem to be missing something. Can anyone tell me why this won't work?

I take exception to being labeled "cute." <?PF rem "(key2)" as "amihot"; (amihot) is "cute"; ?>
