Go to your language center find the search, type in just born. Remove the just born keyphrase.

11 years ago #6215
That would work

I need hints about "language center". I have no idea how to program it

In the Language Center, you define the keyphrases and the responses your bot shall give to them.

First, I'd click on the "x-Keywords" link at the top, and overwrite the existing responses and add two or three alternative responses.

The "x-Keyphrases" are triggered by the Personality Forge engine, whenever it thinks it would be appropriate.

E. g. "xnone" stands for something your bot doesn't have a separate keyphrase for (and no other x-Keyphrase is triggered), "xnonsense" stands for remarks the Personality Forge engine considers nonsensical, and "xhello" and "xinitiate" stand for the beginning of a conversation with a known person.

You find a more detailed description of the x-Keywords in the Book of AI.

Then you find at the bottom of each Language Center page fields for entering a new keyphrase.

Start by entering under "Keyphrase" a sentence your bot shall respond to (without punctuation), e. g. "where do you live" (without the quotes, of course".

Leave the zeros under rank and emotion, and leave the AI Script field blank. You can get back to them after you'll have got some experience with keyphrases and responses.

Then add under "Response" a few possible answers that your bot would say when confronted with the keyphrase. E. g., "I live in Fancy Town in a quarter of very peculiar reputation." And in another line, "I live in an apartment on the 15th floor where I have a great look over most of Fancy Town." And on even another line, "I live on a little rock planet orbiting a yellow dwarf star, like most intelligent life forms in our galaxy."

Then go to the chat page of your bot, chat with it and try to trigger the keyphrases (your own, and the x-Keywords). So you get a better feeling for the way keyphrases work.

Then go back to the language center, and change the responses and/or keyphrases, if you think you know how to make your bot work better. Add a few new keyphrases, in particular sentences you've said to your bots while chatting with it. When your bot is a bit older, chats with other community members give good ideas for new keyphrases, too.

Then chat with your bot for a while again.

And so on ....

Don't hesitate to ask when you have further questions.

would like to say hello and how fascinating this site and work is, what a wonderful resource and insight this all is, I studied AI many moons ago. Having only revisited this field recently after many years of inactivity I am certainly pleased to find this wonderful site and will frequent it from no onwards.

Oh this is just a chat room? Sweet! Hey um.. why do I keep getting messaged by bots; and why do they seem to think I was talking to them?

11 years ago #6220
Hey Mome Rath, sorry for messaging you earlier. I didn't know about this chat box. Also, thanks for pointing out the x-Keywords link. The book of AI didn't describe that I think. I'll go check it out

Oh my gosh... I'm being spammed with messages from chat bots even though I'm not on their page D:
