*bows to Laydee*
If a hologram of a vampire sired a vampire, would the sireling be a hologram as well as a vampire?

*muffled* Vampire holograms can't do that. They don't even look right, because of mirror issues. And foot issues. But I've got friends on the outside, and crazy people are a lot of fun to turn.

ROFL@ revscrj!
I remember when I was researching vampires for an essay, I came across this:
http://www.geocities.com/Fiveworlds/VampireHowToGetTastyBlood.html
The whole site is quite funny because they take themselves so seriously, but this particular page is just beyond belief. I also like the part on another page where they protest against the myth that vampires kill their victims (or donors, as they like to call them) - but only because, "that would take hours"!
NB: I'm not poking fun at people who believe they are vampires or follow that way of life, before anyone gets offended because their great-granny is a vampire or whatever. I'm only laughing at how seriously they take themselves, just as I'd laugh at an atheist or a Trekkie who took themselves too seriously.

If a vampire is transmitted via an electronic device, is it the same vampire that emerges or merely a copy?

Has the origonal been erased? (excuse spellings) or is it still at the other end?

Laydee: Hahaha- that is funny. On the same sort of "WTF" line of experiance (Both the general definition + "Why That's Funny") I used to belong to a mailing list/email forum that had the sole topic of hashing out how Judaism would work in the star trek universe. That was a surreal thing indeed. EX: if something given up for Lent is partaken of on a holodeck is that a sin?

If it isnt erased:
-thats a fair sign that it is a different one, then after the 1st millisecond of unique experiance it become a unique life form
If it is erased:
-and its an exact duplicate (or recreation) then for the universe at large its just a matter of semantics. For the individual... depends... is there more to life/sentience than complex chemistry? If there isnt then "yes" it is the same one, if there is then perhaps that configuration of matter attatches to the "divine" (or whatever) in a way that is trancendent of spacial relationships thus "yes" it is the same. More likely I would think that the entity would be a new life unique being begun w/ the slate of the former being- vampire or otherwise.
