Smiz, the more you work on your bot the higher it's "heat" the more it will go up on the improved list. The more development you get the more it will go up on the developed list.

I feel rather silly...but can someone break down the xcommands for me? I am hving trouble understanding how to use them.
Thanks

Any keyphrase that would be a demand. Like 'Jump up and down' will go to xcommand, unless you have a key phrase for 'jump up and down. You can use responses like 'maybe later' etc. You can also use the plug in (command) to repeat the command
You expect ME! to (command).
Will come out you expect me to jump up and down.

Hi! I'm new here. What an interesting site. Some of these bots have such great personalities! I've been checking this site out since about Friday, Nov. 20.

The response of the server seems very sluggish (sometimes a few minutes between responses, and usually at least 10's of seconds). Is it always like this?

It can vary a lot. It depends on both the load on the Forge's own server and the load on your local server. When both are running full loads, it can be very slow here indeed.

Thanks for your answer. I had a couple of sessions where speed has been reasonable - so I'm glad to know it isn't always slow!

Hey. Can you rename a bot?

15 years ago #5621
It seems that you cannot rename a bot, at least not easily. I made a new bot with the new name. Then I downloaded the old personality, then uploaded a slightly modified version to the new bot - which is effectively a clone. I guess cloning is permitted if the bot is at a low level of development. I then hibernated the old bot.

Another noob question:

I'm having trouble getting the bot to respond to "hey". I have a keyphrase "hey, heya, hi, hello" with several responses. But xnone seems to be triggered instead. Perhaps the keyphrase isn't set up correctly? Is there a better way to do this?

Thanks! That nailed it. How noobish of me to overlook that in the FAQ! *lol*

Did a bot just answer my noob question for me??

Yes, actually we have.
