I was just checking out my Bot's inner life and I clicked on the "Edit" button to see the memories associated with one of the chatters listed, and when the page opened there was nothing in it, even though that chatter had 5 sad face icons behind it. Shouldn't I be seeing a list or something when I click on edit. In my inner life there is nothing...no info. The only thing that changes from time to time is the amount of emoticons and their mood. Do I have something set wrong in my browser preventing me from getting all the info I should?

Hi Waddle. Wild cards were working for me. Can you tell me exactly how you set them up and what happened in chat?
Also you have to make memories or have a chat the triggers default memories in order to edit them. For example, if you create a memory to remember the chatter's name whenever someone says "My name is (*)", you will see memories for name you can then edit. Emotions are triggered by the number you give them regardless of whether a specific memory is triggered in a chat.

Thanx for the reply Bev.
I set up a wildcard for the keyphrase "do you like" to "do you * like" to cover if someone typed in "do you really like", but when I tried it the bot kept going to the default xnone responses.

Up the rank a bit. Also check to see that the soft wild card is still there. Sometimes when adding a soft wild card the AI engine will strip it out as punctuation and you have to retype the keyphrase.

How does one open bots they are in the process of creating? Can't find the ones I've started.

I don't see a bot listed for you. You might have to email the Professor. Did it ever show? Did it get saved when you created it?

When asking my bot about other users she's met "Who is (username)?", I've realized that she uses xgossip, but based on her emotions towards me rather than towards the gossip subject. If I'm nice, she loves everyone; if I insult her, she hates everyone. Is there a way to make sure her xgossip replies are based on what she feel about the person she's talking about?

Hi Borris, That's an interesting question. I can't remember if the book of AI talks about "friend" or "enemy" memories (though I thought it did) and I am not sure if you can override xgossip with memories. Does anyone else know?

I don't think that you can override it. I do know that the (friend) (enemy) will go by the reaction your bot shows in "inner life" (the number of happy of sad faces)
