I think there's a lot of wisdom in the much-worked-on bots which, unfortunately, is hard to distill. What I mean is this: I see something in a transcript that I think deserves a response of its own. Then (usually) I try to generalize that response. Then I see in a later transcript that my generalization has resulted in an inappropriate response. So I do something to fix that - I might change the original keyphrase, or I might add one to handle the troublesome case. English being the intricate, irregular thing it is, this process goes on and on. One might suppose that, after having worked on "Irina Khalidar" for many years, I would have all kinds of insights about English. Unfortunately, this is not so; I am still stumbling ahead on a case-by-case basis.
