RE: Choosing bot chats: If you have a Friend of the Forge account you can choose bot chats, have flash chats, play with more things AND you help support the Prof. Last I looked it was $40.00 so if you spend a lot of time here, it might make sense to chip in. It's up to you of course.

Have you tried importing the line breaks? That's the only way I can get them to work.
You might want to wait for the Professor to fix the problems first.

I may have asked this before but does anyone know what font the PF uses? Lots of my characters get odd symbols too
Maybe that's why some people are getting the html to work?

Hee hee Almost everything is Times New Roman. I can't tell from my browser because it shows what my browser has set for a font and the page source just tells me it is 12 point. I'll buy TNR since I really don't know why it shouldn't be so, but why doesn't the PF like my quotation marks and question marks then? Or is it my browser that doesn't like the PF marks?

Try paste something into your wordpad, and then mark it, then the font menu should show what font it is,- I think ?

Zip, no good. The original problem shows up when I import a bot (*.txt) from wordpad or a word processing program, and I don't change the fonts from export. Thanks though.

Depending on what fonts you have installed on your computer, the first choice is Verdana, then Arial (at least at the moment).
If you have a custom stylesheet overriding the normal one it could be in a different font, though. (E.g. View -> Page Style -> No Style under Firefox). And this text box that I'm typing in (the post form) is using a monospaced font--most likely Courier New if you're using Windows.

TY zzrdvark.
I still don't understand why I get the weirdness on quotes and question marks, but it happens both on the desktop running XP and the one with Ubuntu, and I have all those fonts. It doesn't really matter.
J_Master, I agree. The new layout is cool. Nice work Prof.
