Has anyone actually managed to import a bot using MIE yet? Perhaps there's something about Firefox that helps the process?
Hmm, I'll see if I can duplicate the Kid Boron success with MIE.

Psimagus, if you do that, please take note if it's IE6 or & OK? My students seem to have issues with some of my online classroom with IE7 (and don't get me started about papers turned in using a version of word they just bought). MS made IE7 more secure (compared to IE6)and people who use it may have to go play with options to let some scripts run. I don't know for sure because I don't use it. I do have Noscripts in Firefox and so far just white listing the Personality Forge site is enough. I think if you can chat with bots you should be able to upload, but I really do not know.

Oh, another weird thing: when I use a computer with lots of Abode products loaded and more download tools in the browser, right before the "done" and the empty page that shows up at the end instead of the import successful message, I get a pop up saying I chose to open a php file and then Dream Weaver opens what appears to be an empty file. I have never really used Dream Weaver or played with php files, so I don't know what's going on there.

So far I have had NO success with IE, even with itsy-bitsy teeny-weeny purple polka-dot files.

The attempt at uploading took much longer than making the video and I threw most of it together while trying to get an "import successful" page. I thought that this forum may be one of the few places I can inflict my sense of humor (who else will find slow uploads funny?).

No, it doesn't seem to work with MIE at all (I'm using v.6.0.2800.1106.xpsp2.050301-1526)

Not only does it not import, but the initial "Import Language Center for [botname]" page loads with errors (according to the error icon in the bottom left-hand corner), despite specifying a file to upload:

It looks like the link to the regular importer is being hijacked by the Flash importer (which has never worked,) so it's not even commencing the first trial run. Clicking on the button doesn't even provoke an hourglass, since the form is broken.

I'll pass this on to the Prof, but he's away for a few days I think, so don't expect an immediate fix. In the meantime, we'd better stick to Firefox (it's a far superior browser anyway!)
