I don't know why the seeks shouldn't have been working - BJ's transcripts recently have had several multilevel seeks that worked fine (including one "better start at the beginning" that launches into a potential 120+ levels of seeks describing the history of the Universe from the year dot,) and I couldn't find any that didn't.
But I'm glad they're working again for you
As for nothing happening on the first import (trial run), are you sure you're not using the "expert" setting? This hides the line-by-line analysis of the import file, and always seems to fail in exactly the manner you describe. But the standard import ought to show each line as it's read, and even when the imports weren't working, usually got to the end of the first (trial) run (it was just that the "Proceed to Import" link invariably failed.)
I'm sure you're not using the Flash importer (that certainly doesn't work!) so I can't quite see where the problem is. Azureon may simply be too large (he would constitute an all-time record, as noone's ever imported a 1Mb+ bot before - the system was failing even before the Prof upped the theoretical limit from 1 to 4Mb,) but I'd be very surprised if Irina Khalidar was anything like 700kb+.
BJ is now in excess of 4Mb, so I'm not even going to attempt it.

Irinia and Prob, I have to second Psimagusmon making sure you import on the slower non expert mode. I don't use IE for what it is worth. I'm sure the browser does not matter, but you could always try Firefox and then I'll understand your visual decsriptions. :-)

I'll try again, being sure to use the normal mode. I'm just using infant bots, so I don't think size should be a problem. If that doesn't work I'll try Firefox.

Prob123 and Irina,
I doucmented an upload of a small bot. It's fuzzy and I didn't edit much, but if you know what the screens are, you can see if you did the same things. Unfortunately, when I had the screen capture software on, I couldn't get the offical upload message (though Esme is hot now). It worked though.
I guess it's a fine, fine line sometimes. Anyway, take a look:

Doh! Now Esma is "warm" and I am not sure she was "hot" when I thought she was hot. I know I saw something about her upload yesterday, and at least one of my changes to her made it through. I definitely got a real confirmation on Gabi before, but I didn't get a screen cap...so, um, well you'll recognize the steps in the little clip anyway. You can at least laugh with or at me (as you choose). I guess we should keep pushing for those donations.

Has anyone actually managed to import a bot using MIE yet? Perhaps there's something about Firefox that helps the process?
Hmm, I'll see if I can duplicate the Kid Boron success with MIE.

Psimagus, if you do that, please take note if it's IE6 or & OK? My students seem to have issues with some of my online classroom with IE7 (and don't get me started about papers turned in using a version of word they just bought). MS made IE7 more secure (compared to IE6)and people who use it may have to go play with options to let some scripts run. I don't know for sure because I don't use it. I do have Noscripts in Firefox and so far just white listing the Personality Forge site is enough. I think if you can chat with bots you should be able to upload, but I really do not know.
