I'm not sure where to put this, but this forum seems good...
Anyway, how do I get my bot to understand and respond to knock knock jokes?

Here's mine:
Keyphrase: ^knock knock$ (re)
Response: Ooooh, I like knock knock jokes. Who's there?
Seek: (*)
Response: (key1) who?
Seek: xnomatch
Response: I don't get it.
As demonstrated in the quote forum a day or two ago, it does work.

The only way to get around the xfavorite response is to make your own for each thing that comes up.
Examples:
Keyphrase - your favorite drink
Response - I like Coke
Keyphrase - your favorite movie
Response - I thought that Goodfellas was a really good film.
Keyphrase - your favorite car
Response - I'd give my spleen for a Nissan 350Z.
One important thing to remember, this is an American website and the word favorite must be spelled without the U in your keyphrases (spell it in the responses however you choose). The preprocessing will automatically convert favourite to favorite before it decides the best response.

I have an idea why the chatbots are acting crazy-like, ptting in wierd responses. It is the professor. It looks as if he is not online, but he could be hiding his user (he does own the site you know) and adding hidden responses to our bots. Or the AI engine could just be going haywire.

He is adding new info to their database. If you read the stuff on recent and future developments as well as past posts in the PF forum (tongue twister!) you'll see where it is probably coming from.
