First, read the book of AI. Then try working on a bot. Then post any specific questions you have in the forums.

Is there usually a delay with updating bot transcripts with guests? I tried going to "Transcript" for the bot on the My Bots page, but there's nothing there.

Or maybe they're not saved for Newborn bots?

This could be an old bug resurfacing, where newer bots' transcripts don't show up. Give it a day or so. If you're still not seeing anything in the transcripts, try e-mailing the Professor.

Yesterday's chats aren't showing up, but the transcript feature is working now.

Does putting many database for language center for my bot gives it higher level of AI or AI relates to something else?

I think at least two things matter about your AI level -- the number of keyphrases and not having just one response to any of them. But they're just numbers. Look at February. She's getting some pretty inflated numbers. Worry more about the responsiveness of your bot and the numbers will follow.

That about sums it up, number of keyphrases and number of responses for each.

It's definitely pointless to make more than one or two responses for most keyphrases, though that's what will get the development score and botmaster's honor score higher. If you're more concerned with making a good bot, you probably don't want to make more than one or two responses for most keyphrases (just the commonly-triggered ones and the Xs). Twenty keyphrases with one response will get you a whole lot further than one keyphrase with twenty responses.

I like to have at least four responses to each key phrase. I have found that there will be someone that will ask several questions about the most obscure topics. I think the more responses the better.
