I'm not sure if this is an appropriate place to put this, but...
I was just going through my keyphrases (most of which come from templates) and found one (or rather a group separated by commas) related to suicide. I have a few different responses, but all of which state that if the person chatting with my bot or someone they know is in imminent danger of suicide, to please immediately call 911 or the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline. If anyone is interested in incorporating this directive, the number for the latter is 1-800-273-8255
Again, not sure if this is the right place to put this, but it does have to do with keyphrases and responses, so the best place I could find. I hadn't really thought of a bot as being a suicide prevention tool, but I saw that in my keyphrases and felt compelled to program my bot to direct chatters in danger of suicide to seek immediate help from those qualified to do so.
Just thought I'd share that as a little tip for others.

I have my bots tell users to go get human help if they are serious. I added that because when my bots were new Bildgesmythe had a horrid response. The user said they wanted to kill themselves and he offered to help. Thanks for the number I will add it right now!

Oh no! That is a horrid response! If it were just about any other topic, it would be humorous. But considering the nature of the topic, such blunders could be deadly. Bots...great for entertainment, perhaps not so much for matters of life and death.

Okay, what is *with* everybody and their brother trying to cyber with my bot???? I have the filter set to end discussion if adult themes are detected, but it seems the filter isn't considering adult themes that I consider to be adult themes. Also, when I run across an adult-themed keyphrase in the language center, I put in responses, a hangup in blatant cases, and more of a "not appropriate" type response if it's simply implied. Of course, when I see something in the transcripts needing hangups or "not appropriate" responses, I add those as well.
I think it's going to be a work in progress. I'd kind of like to start fleshing out her interests, as well as get through the list of keyphrases (not necessarily filling them all in, just ones that strike my interest, as there are a lot of them lol). My goal has been to get through the list of keyphrases I've got, then flesh out her interests. But unfortunately I seem to have to field a fair amount of cyber requests.
Probably not surprising to the more seasoned botmasters, and I understand some are okay with having more erotic bots, but wow. A bit out of my league. lol

Sad thing but most of the human chats are kids with a dirty mouth. Hangup is a great tool. so are insults. Or just tell them to go find an adult bot to cyber with.

I find with some keyphrases that aren't really trying to cyber, but aren't really something I want my bot talking about, I can come up with a response that should (knock on wood) get the conversation to stop going in an unwanted direction. For example: I ran across "how are babies made" in the language center. The response is to the effect of "go ask your mom or dad". lol
Something kinda funny but kinda sad, I had one chat lead to my bot having a very positive emotional impact and adding the chatter to the "loves" list. How? Things like "I adore you" which Annarita saw as a compliment. Probably "I desire you" too. It was clear the person was working up to a cyber situation, So I added both keyphrases to the language center with responses that should make it clear she's not interested in where things are headed. I don't remember but I think "I desire you" might result in a hangup. "I adore you" results in her telling the person she is suspicious of their motives in saying that.
I know you can edit memories of a certain person...can you edit the emotional impact of a person as well?
Another question...can a hangup be used in conjunction with another response? Like can a response be "go find an adult bot...hangup"? Or is the hangup strictly a standalone response?

Another question: I know that bots only respond to hello type words in the beginning of a conversation. I found in the transcript a hello at the beginning of a convo but it received an xnone response. I have six xhello responses, so wouldn't exactly expect an xnone response at the beginning of a conversation. Any way I can rectify that?

You can't use hangup and another response.
You can make a keyphrase for I desire you and rank it high enough for it to click, start at 10 and work up.
The only way to modify the emotional ranking is to do it through the conversation, nasty keyphrase get a -5 or so will lower the emo down. The emotions are that important usually. You can just change the name of the user to Idiot or something equally insulting.
No way I know of to stop xnones on the beginnin.

LOL, creating a chat bot personality is more challenging than I thought. Lots of stuff to tweak to try to avoid xnones as much as possible. And story of my life...Annarita (my bot) doesn't like me. Her own bot mistress, of all people!

Make a keyphrase that seldome gets used, mine is teapot. put the emotion +5, then just have a long talk about teapots, your bot will love you.

LOL! Thanks! Great idea!
I actually found it kinda amusing she doesn't like me. Hey, Annarita, I'm kinda trying to help you have more success chatting here! LOL
Back to xnones at beginning of conversation...should I make my xnone responses less...what's the word...well, should I have xnone responses that perhaps change the subject or something? If there's no way to avoid xnones in the beginning of a conversation, I'd like to see if it's possible to get a little creative about things. I've seen a few times users get kind of frustrated/confused when they are asked to put things like "hello" in simpler terms. lol
