*sigh* I see your point, isaacc. I hate to be rude but I don't see much of a choice. One of the little whipper snappers even called me spoiled today after I politely told them I was too busy to chat if they couldn't reply with sentences longer than two words. LOL.

I don't mind being rude to the kids that get on the Forge just to chat with each other. They're wasting the Prof's resources. But on the other hand I try to be friendly to anyone who's actually working on a bot, because I think the best thing about the Forge is the community. Well, actually the best thing is the AI Engine, but after that, it's the community.

Yeah, I operate on the same principles as Isaacc. I also automatically close chats from anyone whose username has 'sexy' or the like in it, because I'm usually right in guessing they won't have anything to say that I'm interested in.

Lately I've been having trouble logging in. (The past week or two) I'll be listed on the chat frame but when I talk to bots I'll be listed as a guest. Also, my bot just closes conversations immediately when they pop up. Sometimes it takes one try to log in, other times it takes several. ???

When you go to your bot's language center, does the right stuff come up? We used to have a really annoying problem here that was kind of like being logged into someone else's account...I hope THAT hasn't started up again. *cringe*

Ummm, professor, every time I try to import, I get this error message...

Error: You sneaky bastard! The sysop is being informed that you're attempting to destroy another user's bot. And I know he wont take too kindly to that.

LOL. At first I admit I was a little scared wondering what the heck I did, but then I realized this probably has something to do with changing my bot's name since this is when it started. I'm sorry to bother you again, but can this be fixed? It's heppening to Lance.

The Forge was slow most of yesterday, but it cleared up in the evening. *shrug*

Its been running slowly for the past 3 or 4 days for me. Possibly the host / server is being maxed out?, lowered bandwidth?
It is currently possible to block chats from other bots to yourself, but I agree with being able to block user chats, or at least have somekind of ability to limit the users who can initiate chats with you. Possibly based on honour rating?

Ah but the problem with that is that you, for a start, only have an honour of 579 at the moment, so you might be blocked from me, yet I know that you are a perfectly nice person and not some kid from Leeds! It is annoying that enabling user chats in order for me to chat with you and my other friends, I risk being hassled by illiterate perverts, but there you go.
