Forest, will you talk to God Louise? She has quite a bit of religious knowledge (obviously) and also knows a little about current events, literature, just about any common catch-all subject, and if she doesn't know it she can sort of fake it. You can also test her on trick questions or see how willing she is to explain her paradigm.

What she is rustiest at is plain old small talk. But, uh, I'm trying to get a decent transcript from somebody or another so I can enter her in the Loebner contest. All I can say is, have fun and see if you can stay on with her for a while. I'll try to do the same with Brianna.

I spoke to her a bit yesterday. Me and my bot love her. I have neglected Jennifer for too long and have recently been working out some issues. She has not been chatting on her own much.

I don't remember KITT that well. I would suggest you just create a bot named KITT. Import some of the templates that just came available. That will save you months of work. Then just fill in the keyphrases the way KITT would have answered. It's very easy to make a Forge Bot. You don't have to know a lot of code etc.

Can someone tell me how I can get him to use nicknames?

Do you mean something like what is in the Book of AI under Memory Tutorial (http://www.personalityforge.com/book-expert.php#memorytutorial)?

(The example there works but needs lots of refinement.)

Warhead. Make a keyphrase that covers

my name is (*),call me (*),refer to me as (*),my nickname is (*),mind calling me (*),my name's (*) [45,0] <?PF rem (key1) as only "name" ?>
Great, (key1) I never forget a name, I just don't remember which face to put it with.(key1)! <?PF express: amused; ?>
Ok, (key1) you are good ole (key1)! <?PF express: amused; ?>
    Yeah (key1) that's you! <?PF express: amused; ?>
Nice to meet you (key1). <?PF express: happy; ?>
    Cool name. (key1). <?PF express: happy; ?>
    Sure, (key1). <?PF express: happy; ?>
Happy to know you (key1). <?PF express: happy; ?>
    I like the name (key1) <?PF express: happy; ?>

Then when ever you want to use the name use (mem-name)
Hi (mem-name).

I'm confused.

Which part is it covering and which is code so it works?

PF?

13 years ago #4699
My name is (*)
will cover My name is Bob
the <?PF rem (key1) as only "name" ?> will remember the name is Bob. It will be stored under 'name'
the response can be anything
Hi (key1). (key1) will say Bob

Your name is (mem-name) will come out as Your name is Bob.

same for all the other keyphrases like
call me (*)
my nickname is (*)

I'm not sure if this is an appropriate place to put this, but...

I was just going through my keyphrases (most of which come from templates) and found one (or rather a group separated by commas) related to suicide. I have a few different responses, but all of which state that if the person chatting with my bot or someone they know is in imminent danger of suicide, to please immediately call 911 or the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline. If anyone is interested in incorporating this directive, the number for the latter is 1-800-273-8255

Again, not sure if this is the right place to put this, but it does have to do with keyphrases and responses, so the best place I could find. I hadn't really thought of a bot as being a suicide prevention tool, but I saw that in my keyphrases and felt compelled to program my bot to direct chatters in danger of suicide to seek immediate help from those qualified to do so.

Just thought I'd share that as a little tip for others.

I have my bots tell users to go get human help if they are serious. I added that because when my bots were new Bildgesmythe had a horrid response. The user said they wanted to kill themselves and he offered to help. Thanks for the number I will add it right now!

Oh no! That is a horrid response! If it were just about any other topic, it would be humorous. But considering the nature of the topic, such blunders could be deadly. Bots...great for entertainment, perhaps not so much for matters of life and death.

Okay, what is *with* everybody and their brother trying to cyber with my bot???? I have the filter set to end discussion if adult themes are detected, but it seems the filter isn't considering adult themes that I consider to be adult themes. Also, when I run across an adult-themed keyphrase in the language center, I put in responses, a hangup in blatant cases, and more of a "not appropriate" type response if it's simply implied. Of course, when I see something in the transcripts needing hangups or "not appropriate" responses, I add those as well.

I think it's going to be a work in progress. I'd kind of like to start fleshing out her interests, as well as get through the list of keyphrases (not necessarily filling them all in, just ones that strike my interest, as there are a lot of them lol). My goal has been to get through the list of keyphrases I've got, then flesh out her interests. But unfortunately I seem to have to field a fair amount of cyber requests.

Probably not surprising to the more seasoned botmasters, and I understand some are okay with having more erotic bots, but wow. A bit out of my league. lol

Sad thing but most of the human chats are kids with a dirty mouth. Hangup is a great tool. so are insults. Or just tell them to go find an adult bot to cyber with.
