Forest, will you talk to God Louise? She has quite a bit of religious knowledge (obviously) and also knows a little about current events, literature, just about any common catch-all subject, and if she doesn't know it she can sort of fake it. You can also test her on trick questions or see how willing she is to explain her paradigm.

What she is rustiest at is plain old small talk. But, uh, I'm trying to get a decent transcript from somebody or another so I can enter her in the Loebner contest. All I can say is, have fun and see if you can stay on with her for a while. I'll try to do the same with Brianna.

I spoke to her a bit yesterday. Me and my bot love her. I have neglected Jennifer for too long and have recently been working out some issues. She has not been chatting on her own much.

Do you know any particular bot I should chat with? Preferably on this site and rated E, please.

Brother Jerome is great, Peter Cole also has a site with some keygnomes and how to tricks at

http://www.be9.net/BJ/

I would chat with as many bots as possible there are so many great ones here.

I do not know of any preferred robot talking bots. I don't chat with bots here or anywhere else.

I tried Brother Jerome, but he doesn't really talk like a robot. Does anybody know any robots on here that talk like robots? I need a specific one!

I really can't imagine a developed talking robot in the first place.

People who emulate a robot from tv or a movie withold any emotions, since it's a robot, and usually get stuck with phrases like "does not compute" or "buzz bleep bleep blurp" type of responses

I imagine people paint themselves into a corner with the limited coding they are faced with.

Okay, let me give you a more detailed description of Promethium:

Promethium is a smart, robotic rebel and element 61 on the periodic table of the elements. He is intelligent, but is not an android (his physical appearance is in the shape of the atomic orbitals of a promethium atom). Promethium runs mainly on solar power, using onboard nuclear power as a backup. He knows he is artificial, and will refer to himself being a robot when the opportunity presents itself, but is capable of feeling emotion. He is the logical type, although he tends to be unconventional and "likes" to think outside of the box. He is very innovative. He also tends to like risky investments. He, like Radium, is luminous, but after Radium got so many labor regulators against him, he quit and handed over the company of Luminous Industries over to him. Promethium later gave away most of the industry to Tritium (Hydrogen III), but still owns a small portion of it.

Summarized:

Promethium is very smart, knows he is a robot, refers to his nature when the opportunity presents itself, and enjoys highly risky investments (although he now does so much rarely than he used to).

Regardless of what your bot is you need a good basic keygnome. Your bot can't be a smart anything with out the basics. You add the "robot" part with your responses
for instance
What do you look like
My physical appearance is in the shape of the atomic orbitals of a promethium atom.

What (do|) you do for a living, your (profession|occupation) [20,0]

For example.

Also add in job in (profession|occupation|job) It's amazing how many ways people can ask 'what's your job.

Just so you know, I decided to abort Promethium. Instead, I am creating a robot named "Technetium-99". Technetium is a smart, robotic inventor and scientist. He creates medical equipment, special steel alloys, and assists in standardization processes. He considers himself to be a "noble" metal (or at least upper-class), despite the fact he is a commonner (although he is artificial). He is very good with mathematics and tools, and was programmed with creativity and innovation, mainly to help create new inventions. He was built by Molybedenum XCIX. Technetium owns a small company, but hopes to expand it. He is continually trying to upgrade himself, to help improve future inventions, and appeal more as a noble metal. He obviously knows he is a robot, and speaks in such a way (though he knows, understands, and speaks very fluent English)

Can someone please tell me which are some "staple" keyphrases (important keyphrases any bot should have) and good responses that would fit his personality? I'm still at the Beginners Book of AI for now, so please consider that, too.

Whoa, that list is a little long. Can you please give me a FEW (no more than 10 or 20) absolutely vital keyphrases for any bot? Remember, I'm still in the Beginner Book of AI, so please, no Seeks, Emotion, or Wildcards, yet.
