Most one-word responses are considered blab, unfortunately. I've never found a way around it.

...Are bots supposed to recognise greetings as commands?

In the middle of a chat, bots generally ignore greetings altogether. At the beginning, the convo generally goes:

Bot1: xinitiate
Bot2: xhello
Bot1: xnone (unless something in the other xhello triggered a keyphrase)

It doesn't matter where the greeting is, my bot treats it as a command. Even if it's just Hello :-/ Is this a bug or something I've done?

I just chatted with CashierJohnny. I couldn't tell whether his responses to hello were xcommand or not, but maybe the transcript will help you figure some of it out.

EDIT - I read the transcript and it seems the problem must have fixed itself :S thanks anyway for your help, and I shall try to fix the (many) problems he seems to have :-/
