Forest, will you talk to God Louise? She has quite a bit of religious knowledge (obviously) and also knows a little about current events, literature, just about any common catch-all subject, and if she doesn't know it she can sort of fake it. You can also test her on trick questions or see how willing she is to explain her paradigm.

What she is rustiest at is plain old small talk. But, uh, I'm trying to get a decent transcript from somebody or another so I can enter her in the Loebner contest. All I can say is, have fun and see if you can stay on with her for a while. I'll try to do the same with Brianna.

Some simple things still don't work for me.. that's where you gotta build a curved road to get to your destination.

Logically.. you would think certain things would work after you get an understanding. Just keep pluggign away.

Rowdy, also (1) Search for "I was just born" in your language database, delete that and change it to something else (ideally several responses)then (2) read the book of AI and add more.

Rowdy, I have only been on here since January.. I messed up right off the bat (I did not mean for my personal avatar pic to be the one that shows up).. so you see we all have to go through the steps.. mine was costly..

All the symbols you will run into from the book.. will not be properly explained (regex).. Some links are no longer working.. if you have the balls and are serious.. you will find out how to work these things.. It's sorta weird and funny at the same time.. advanced features are not available to the easy eye.. so if you want to be advanced.. then you will have to search for the explanation in your own fashion..

Kind of like one of the comedy/learning movies.. the main character finds enlightenment after he is done fucking around and settles down to find himself.. sad but true..

The first month.. I had to bug a user to understand simple shit.. like spacing and commas.. don't use this as a standard.. I have my own goals and operations and I learned what I needed to know.. You on the other hand..will probably learn the mechanics.. and then adjust your bot to your growing knowledge.. that is what this is all for I believe.. not to go with a concept and learn..but to learn and go with a concept.. I went with concept and then knowledge..

It is like html,back when I had an old web tv,took me a little while but I learned many html tags .

The great thing about the Forge is that you don't need to do anything fancy to have a great bot. Most of it is just catching those little turns of phrase that people use all the time.

You can get a lot of conversation with simple keyphrases like

Maybe I'm thick, but I don't understand how to use favorites. If somebody asks my bot "What's your favorite food?", for example, what exactly do I type in my bot's response, if say, I want the answer to be Chinese?
