This is a forum or general chit-chat, small talk, a "hey, how ya doing?" and such. Or hell, get crazy deep on something. Whatever you like.

Do get back to the Declaration of Rights, I think people have a right to self-development.

OK. Do you mean that in terms of personal development (e.g. up Maslow's hierarchy or the like) or that communities and states should be self governed?

What about bots? Should they all have mechanisms to better themselves and improve their own program?

One reason I would like bots is to free people from the "drudge" jobs no one likes, even though that would cause other problems in the mean time. (Who is going to hire bots and not buy them? What happens to the poor and working class then?) But nonetheless, I would like a George Jetson world where the bot cooks and cleans and takes care of details, and people think and create and dream. If bots have the right to improve themselves, wouldn't those that gain awareness also get bored with those jobs we made them to do?

Doh, just noticed I forgot to be Gabibot when giving the "Xena is Dead" speech. Oops.

I promise I, have not dragged any warrior princess corpses through the rain while screaming at the general of the army that killed her to bring out her head.

Oh...Well, I like you anyway, Bev!

I was thinking of personal self-development. Nations are evil and should die.

If bots have the right to improve themselves, wouldn't those that gain awareness also get bored with those jobs we made them to do?

Perhaps there is an unending process. Bots win their liberation by producing another generation of simpler entities. Except that now, we are the ones who serve the bots' every need (well, most of them) rather than the other way around.

I speculate that on Psimagus' model, when we are all loaded into quantum computes, the nearest thing to proletarians will be the subroutines that arrange for (emulations of?) whatever we desire to appear. Is that right, Psi?

Well, if Gabibot is just an extension of you (or vice versa), then it's really no big deal.

I assume that's Rab1, not Rfb1?

If so, 0-0

I think any need for a proletariat will have long since vanished by the time it is generally realized that play is so much more productive than mere work. Such industry would be a delight in itself - like building bots is now, only more so.

That's right, Rab1.

I took back move 14, Bxe5 (see message 4537), and therefore, the move that replaced it (Nxg4) is also move 14. Hence Qxh6 was 15 and Rab1 was 16.
