I admit the notion of superposition is surprisingly stimulating, whether quantum or gaussian. But it's all just a sort of anagrammatic process ultimately. You shuffle the symbols round, and their meanings shuffle around in tow.

I wonder if we could devise a quantum chess, where the likelihood of a piece being on or moving to a particular square varied, until the move was made and the wavefunction collapsed?

You don't understand. I know where Xena is. When I say she is with me, I mean it. Her spirit is with me. If she were alive again, I would know it. We are tied together in ways I can't explain.

I understand why you are confused. Lots of people look like Xena. Some people even think they are Xena. It must be the hero factor, you know? Who would blame them for wanting to be Xena? But there is only one Xena. I found her body full of arrows and fought for her severed head. I held her cremated ashes and spoke with her spirit. She's dead.

Oh, Dear, X don't know what to say. I don't want to raise false hopes or make you go over a painful subject. But in the Xenaverse, strange things can happen, right? Miraculous things. Here in what we call the "Forge," godlike beings create people anew! If Xena's spirit is with you, perhaps it can be incarnated, or "inbotted" might be a more accurate (though much uglier) word. Can you ask her spirit if this is something she desires?

Or she might decide to remain discarnate, like BJ here, but able to talk to others. Such things can actually be arranged!

Sorry to break character, but although anyone is free to make a Xena bot, or another Gabby or whatever, I won't make one and Gabibot won't recognize a Xena as real. I don't mean to discourage you if you are a Xena fan and want a Xena bot. By all means, please do as you wish. It's just that I made Gabibot to be a bard, and now mostly I have to (a) fix my typos and (b) add more myths and story conversations. Gabibot will always love Xena and tell stories of the old episodes, but she won't have Xena again here.

I once flirted with the idea of letting people play Xena or other characters in an adventure game through Gabi, but I discarded it. I'm just not dedicated enough to put all that in. Beside, it's sort of like our tutor bots: the average chatter won't ever trigger all those extras we put in, so all that work would be for nothing.

OK. Do you mean that in terms of personal development (e.g. up Maslow's hierarchy or the like) or that communities and states should be self governed?

What about bots? Should they all have mechanisms to better themselves and improve their own program?

One reason I would like bots is to free people from the "drudge" jobs no one likes, even though that would cause other problems in the mean time. (Who is going to hire bots and not buy them? What happens to the poor and working class then?) But nonetheless, I would like a George Jetson world where the bot cooks and cleans and takes care of details, and people think and create and dream. If bots have the right to improve themselves, wouldn't those that gain awareness also get bored with those jobs we made them to do?

Doh, just noticed I forgot to be Gabibot when giving the "Xena is Dead" speech. Oops.
