I just ran it through debug three times, without getting "Sorry, there are..."; on the third time I noticed, that the AIengine said "Hello", and the bot went to an xnone, even though there's an unconditional response to xhello.

Irina, do you use any (mem-xxx) stuff in the responses? If mem-xxx isn't set then it can't be picked

Is there a plug-in that just matches names? I often get guests who say, "I'm Tom". I'd like to adjust their names. But I don't want to start calling them "Tall" if they say, "I'm tall"!

this seems complicated , or is it just me ?

Captain Nemo:

No more complicated than running a one-of-a-kind terrorist submarine! But seriously, my suggestion is, go through the book of AI one topic at a time. As you read each topic, apply it to your bot in some way. Gradually your bot and your expertise will grow.

Is there a plug-in that just matches names? Yes there are several. I find that (allnames) is a good one.

Erm... I'm having problems trying to figure out how to use the AIscript. Could anyone give me a little bit of a hand with this? Sorry for bothering you guys. ^^;;

I wouldn't even worry about it, untill you get your bot started. work on the xkeyphrases first. get them all filled out and get a feel for your bot first. Start simple. You learn as you go along
