Many questions are answered in the FAQ.

Oh, use the pointy brackets "", not the square brackets. The forums tend to eat pointy brackets, so that's why I used square ones.

And I guess it's "update bot" not "save setting".

kertinka, if you're there, I'm trying to reply but my messages aren't getting through. Do you have a pop-up blocker enabled?

My bot, "Quantum Mechanics", frequently starts out by saying,"Sorry, there are no valid responses to choose from." But each of xhello, xintroduce, or xinitiate has at least one response without any AIscript restrictions. What could be making the response invalid?

Check that at least one response goes from -5 to 5 on the emotion scale. Chances are there's an emotion level that's not covered.

Thanks! I'll try that!

Actually, I hadn't specified any emotional range for any of them!

I hardly ever do; I hope this doesn't mean that I have to go through all my bots and specify an emotion range for every keyphrase!

The default should be -5 to 5, unless something went screwy. So if you don't change them, they SHOULD be okay. *shrugs*

I just ran it through debug three times, without getting "Sorry, there are..."; on the third time I noticed, that the AIengine said "Hello", and the bot went to an xnone, even though there's an unconditional response to xhello.
