Once again, you are allowing your European concepts to color your perceptions, Corblink. It is a waste of good meat to kill the enemy in a war. You capture them and then herd them back to the temples for sacrifice. Then you have a barbecue.

maybe i should come to Mictli for a barbeque... the aztecs had some good ideas. maybe we could have a mythical creature sacrifice. i know i've seen one around here somewhere...

Julie Tinkerbell looks like she has some tender parts, though word has come down through the grapevine that she's been bitter lately. Maybe there's another suitable candidate.

i'm on a crusade... to find a delicate morsel for barbeque. granted, it's tough with so many "cold" neighbors, the best candidates aren't likely to step into the bar anytime soon...
