Bev,

The funny thing is I didn't even know enough about Xena's story to know Gabi skipped to another one!

But I have noticed AI skipping to strange places, not only with Gabi, but with other bots as well. It's very disjointing, especially with bots you know well enough to perceive that they are not answering the way they are supposed to!

I'm trying to use: <?PF chrono: hour(23: 00-3:59); ?> but it says the second number has to be larger. I want it to continue from 11 till 3:59. What is wrong with it? Or what I did?

I've not used chrono but I'm guessing it doesn't like going over midnight. You might try having two entries, one with a chrono of 230-23:59 and the other 000-3:59

hey bowchicawowers (i hope i spelt correct.) i am new to chatbots but with irina's help i am picking up. but i do not know how to use memory. will someone tell me the basics? like how to store the guest's name and then use it after 3 or four exchanges?

Use any keyphrase that will pick up their name. My name is (*), etc. I use < ?PF rem (key 1) as only "name" ? >. In the settings box put this default remember(name) as "name"; Then when ever you want the bot to use the name. You use (mem-name) Like Hi (mem-name) how are you. Did you have a good time (mem-name). AS far as the three or four exchanges you don't have that much controll on a big bot. if it isn't a story telling one. so just use the (mem-name) often I just noticed Ulrick used (mem-nickname) in the Newcomers forum. That would work great to. It doesn't matter what name you save info under as long as you bring it up (mem-whatever)

do not put space in the AI phrase I did so it would show up and not be stripped out

It there any way to block the "i keep getting the same message from you over and over again." thing? It always screws up conversations

I wish there was
But if there is, we haven't found it yet (it plays hell with BJ's 'Zany Adventure' game)

It's so annoying and I think it's a pretty useless feature because a normal conversation, people don't usually stop what they are saying just to point out someone said "yes" twice. I hope once PF upgrades stuff like this can be turned on and off.

That'll be up to the Professor. The purpose of it is to "call out" users who deliberately keep sending the same message over and over and over again (sometimes to see if they can ferret out all the bots' responses), but it can be quite tedious when the repeated reply is useful/intelligible.

Even increasing the number of triggering responses to three would make something of a difference.
