well it did not have the word postkey in the keyphrase but it did in the answer.

But when you tested it, did you give it a sentence with something that'd be considered a postkey?

hmm not sure about that one I'll have to go check.

Okay here is how I set it up
my name is
AI Script:remember (postkey) as "name"
It is nice to meet you (name)
I am glad to meet you (name).

1) anything stored with Remember is (mem-something), so that'd be (mem-name) instead of just (name)
2) i'm not sure if you can use the (mem-name) in the same keyphrase as you save it

I'm pretty sure that you have to use "I am glad to meet you, (postkey)" for the response as you're storing it. After that, it's stored and you can use (mem-name).

I want that my bot recognize keyphrases like "" or ":-)" but even with the raw mode it doesn't work.
How could I do?

I think the answer to this is no, but I'll ask anyway:
Is there a way to distinguish whether a "key" contains just one word or whether it contains more than one word? There are some situations where that might be helpful.

Erm, slightly silly question here, but can someone explain the (type) and (specific) commands for me? I have read it in the book of A.I. and for some reason I cannot get it to work.

I must be spending too much time with some of my blonde friends, no offence to anyone! I myself was blonde at some point

Thanks

Ok, in the following cases, the user asks the bot what their favorite thing is. the Response is whatever randomly-selected response the AI engine pulls up, and the Answer is what the bot actually says.

Question: "What is your favorite car?"
Response: My favorite (type) is a (specific)
Answer: My favorite car is a Chevrolet.

Question: "What is your favorite fruit?"
Response: My favorite (type) is a (specific)
Answer: My favorite fruit is a peach.

Question: "What is your favorite food?"
Response: I like (specific)s the best out of all the (type)s.
Answer: I like hamburgers the best out of all the foods.

I am not sure where to put this but there is a actual usa grant that you can get for working with artificial intellegence. here is the link http://fedgrants.gov/Applicants/NSF/OIRM/HQ/03-600/Grant.html

I'm slightly confused about what counts as a key. For example, in the following keyphrase:

It is (really¦very¦so¦ ) (*) that (*)

In this case, if I wanted to refer to the first asterisk (which would presumably be an adjective), would that be key1? Or would the (really¦very¦so¦ ) count as a key because it's enclosed in brackets? I've had to limit my responses a lot to avoid this problem so it would be nice to get it sorted.
