OMG my mum has put a stupid childlock thing on the computer! funny though it lets me go on all the forums but not look at transcripts/do anything to my bots, i think its something to do with people swearing at my bots

it will let me update my bots- it just wont let me look at transcripts or go onto the great quote;s forum- probably the fault of people from leeds or simular swearing at or being nasty to my bots

Next semester I'm going to be very busy. Does anyone know how often it is necessary to logon in order to keep your account? If I don't logon for a few months will my robot be removed from the server?

No - I just returned from being gone for about 7 months and Aries is still here, chatting away. If you're concerned about it though - you can email the Professor and let him know.

mlandau: The only time this can be an issue is if you have an extremely underdeveloped bot (like, still a newborn). Then it could be gone when you get back. Otherwise, the Prof will leave it intact.

How do guests talk with the bots? i logged on as a guest as as far as i could see you cant talk with humans or bots as a guest. then how do they talk to them? i wondered if bots had to determine a conversation with them but i stayed on for 30 minutes and it didnt seem to be the case. i was just curious, cant they choose and are they just observers?

Guests can click on the bot's name and click "chat". Also, bots can intitiate chats with guests via the usual pop-up windows.

hello, can someone tell me how to set up a favorite, like what is your favorite book? Do you have to use keywords for each one, or is there some way to store them under the favorites keyword?
