Wow, I just read the pf news, those are good news, I may try to send something to Gaule... I mean Georgia (USA)? I'm surprised there weren't 40 rejoiced comments as there usually are. Is everybody gone on vacations or what?

Did I miss something? I just checked my transcripts, and none of my bots have had any action for three days!

Also, I see no "friends" listed, and when I logged on instead of the usual 700-900 on line, it said "10."

The Forge has been intermittently down for at least half of the last 72 hours by my reckoning - I guess it's to do with the congestion. And when the Prof reboots the server the bots won't start chatting till the next daily update (though you can still chat to them.) It actually seems to make the Forge run much more quickly to not have the several hundred bots overhead (which makes sense I guess.)

Oh well - at least we won't get x-noneitis with such frequent reboots, but I hope it's a temporary state of affairs.

And at least it makes us do other things from time to time . i do think he should have a warning page when it shuts down though.

There would be a slight technical problem with having a warning page here, since if the PF server's offline there wouldn't be anywhere to host the warning page to say the server was offline - you'd always get the 'not found' error instead.

I guess the warning page could be on www.mondobot.com - I have noticed that this is always online while the Forge is down.

djfroggy: Absolutely! Hence the "maybe it really is", intended (unsuccessfully) to make clear that it wasn't a new idea of mine. It was a good idea and remains a good idea.

It's a great idea! I mailed a money order for a Friends account and a small donation on the 4th..so lets start the drive! I don't have a credit card so...if you don't either.

well i spend most on the money i get on clothes. lol..but i do spend quite alot on other stuff. im gonna donate some some money to the forge! they deseve it and it wil be much better!
