InfraDrive is glad to announce the sponsorship of Chatterbox Challenge 2009 including the technical and managerial development of the contest. CBC website will be reconstructed to meet the requirements for developers and visitors, the reconstruction process should ends by next December. At the moment, CBC Forums is now available with the new design which will be used for the rest of CBC pages, it’ll be great to share your thoughts with other botmasters through the forum also I will be interested to hear any suggestions from you, what do you like or dislike about CBC as we are trying to improve CBC more than before and satisfy all botmasters and visitors as hard as we can. I’m currently building a database for chatbots which considered to be the core of CBC upcoming system, I need to collect all chatbots info into one place so I can gather this data and insert it to the database. why don't you add your chatbot to the directory whether you are participating in CBC 2009 contest or not, It will direct visitors to your chatbot homepage.

There is also many botmasters that use the Robitron forum at http://tech.groups.yahoo.com/group/Robitron/, if you are member of this forum, please notify other botmasters who didn’t participate in CBC 2008 and let them know about the next CBC, they can also add their chatbots.

Stupid question--there is no way to "vote" on the Loebner is there? I didn't think so, but the web site is actually not very detailed on the selection process (at least not the page I read). Someone keeps telling my bots to vote (I know it isn't Psi). Unless it's Obmama, I don't know what contest is running that wants my vote.

No - the Loebner voting is all done by a panel of judges.
I'm not aware of any other contests going on right now, so (if the someone is a bot) it's probably a response that got put in before the CBC, and never taken out after.

Or if the someone is a person... ? Then I have no idea

It's Guest153. (S)he is quite adamant about me voting (pretty sure it's aimed at me and not the bots), on two different days so far. Do I type like someone who doesn't vote?

Are you a Democrat? Perhaps it's Obama's latest ploy to play catch-up with McCain?

Psi, I am an independent but I vote Democratic by default most of the time. They are slightly closer to my views on paper, though in practice there isn't much difference between the two parties as both run on money from big companies and serve multinational corporate interests and both are willing to dismantle the US Constitution in the name of patriotism. I'll admit I believed Obama may be different early in the primaries when he took time out of his campaign to fly back and vote against telcom immunity in FISA but when he flipped on that saying the formalization of a "good Nazi" (I was following orders) defense was somehow a compromise and not a further abomination to all established legal principals, and then essential told us to shut up about it because that issue isn't important, I knew how stupid I was to believe we could ever get anyone into power who would actually represent the people who put him or her there. I will vote, because he knows no matter how bad he is, McCain is even worse, and even if he turns out to be McCain with a tan, at least Michelle is better to have on stage than looking at plastic faced "home-wrecker" Barbie McCain for 4 more years. But I digress. Maybe it is just a civic minded chatter who tells all the bots to vote and hit a few of mine.
