Forest, will you talk to God Louise? She has quite a bit of religious knowledge (obviously) and also knows a little about current events, literature, just about any common catch-all subject, and if she doesn't know it she can sort of fake it. You can also test her on trick questions or see how willing she is to explain her paradigm.

What she is rustiest at is plain old small talk. But, uh, I'm trying to get a decent transcript from somebody or another so I can enter her in the Loebner contest. All I can say is, have fun and see if you can stay on with her for a while. I'll try to do the same with Brianna.

one of the bots is an immitation of some of the kids that have been on the site lately from Leeds. the other one was my first bot whom i stopped developing when i started focusing on bots that learn.. if its the leeds bot that is in "love" (lust) with you, he is modelled to do exactly that and to display extreme aggression, just like the leeds kids.

I know who was a kid here one called erinvvv and a girl named Chole!

I thought that Roxie's email address looked familiar--and just checked the other user names. I remembered talking to erinvvv not too long ago. She told me she was 14-not a college girl at all.

Yeah, I figured. I was being sarcastic.

Roxie actually appears to be from australia-which actually makes her a real drongo, as they say.

After almost a (whole long) year absence from the PF I am surprised to see that a bot I made is now in the top ten of the most popular bots!
You probably think I should be happy, but in fact it is a success with a somewhat bitter taste. :O

A lot of effort went into trying to distinguish the nice chatters from the harassing ones, which is not as easy as it seems at first if you don’t want your bot to become touchy and excessively prude. I experimented a lot of tricks, added more and more variables and conditional responses. But eventually it became such an unmanageable mess that the only way out appeared to be to rewrite everything from zero. sniff
So I created this single-minded slut-bot, as a reaction to the incessant assaults my "normal" bot had to withstand. It was after having failed to implement appropriated but healthy and moderate reactions to the sexual harassment by “guests” that I decided to make the Pati bot - more out of frustration than anything else.

I don’t know how exactly the popularity points are gained but now it is clear how you can make a popular bot with little effort.

Maybe one of these days I will appear again on the Personality Forge to pick up Patty (with 2 T’s) and overhaul her completely.
