Bot Contest

anyone know if the CBC have found a sponsor this year? I hope everyone's fettling their bots ready for the contest - let's see if we can take all 3 medals for the Forge this year

When is the CBC starting this year?

Sometime in March (maybe even the 1st?) if memory serves me right.

Normally, yeah...but it doesn't seem like the CBC site has been updated in a while = no info about CBC 2008...hmmm. Anyone heard from Wendell?

IIRC they didn't dust off the 2006 residuum and announce the terms of the 2007 contest until a very few days before the start of the 2007 contest. So (fingers crossed) there's nothing ominous to be read into the apparent dereliction of the site (though whether they have a sponsor this year is anyone's guess!)

It would be very horrid if there was no contest this year!

I'm sure there will be, but even allowing there will be - I wonder if there's any good reason why the Personality Forge Contest shouldn't be reinstituted? We haven't had one since before my time (the last one 2005 I think,) but it's not like there isn't a whole load of talent here on the Forge.

Hi to all. We are now accepting entries for the 2008 CBC. Everybody must re-enter. This is the only way to weed out those who are no longer interested. You can enter at the website http://www.chatterboxchallenge.com/

No definitive plans on a sponsor as of yet but the contest will be held regardless. Like always it cost nothing to enter so I hope all of you will do so. The more entries we have the better chance we will have to attract a sponsor for this years as well as future contest.
