part of the reason AI has gone on and is has come as far as it has, which isn't as far as we all thought, is from people working with it and doing what they can and not complaining. Great to have wishes and there are ALWAYS those who are trying to push it further which is great too and VERY important. On the other hand complaints may lead to improvements but sometimes they are just complaints. It is a new frontier and exciting!!! Lots of things are "nice" but what do we "need"?

I don't think anybody is complaining here, nor are they wishing for things that are unneccessary. Imagine if our forefathers had all been content to live with fire as our main source of light. Electricity would have never been invented. Now do we need electricity, no. We could get by without it, however with electricity is has greatly enhanced our way of living as well as increased our lifespans through advances in medicine and preservation of foods. My point is, to advance, we do need to continue wishing for things. If not were is the interest in working on something that is just a 'parrot' and can never really learn things. I hope this post isn't taken as offensive, just thought I'd throw my 2cents in.

I think electricity is overrated. I was running on steam power until just a couple of months ago.

Well, the other pertinent terms were a bit indelicate for a public forum!
Of course, flatus is *never* appropriate in public.

Nope, no complaining going on here at all, just using the forum as it is intended.
Sometimes I use this forum to express gratitude, as well (woops! this isn't the Compliments Forum!
), but usually I just thank The Prof personally from time to time- no worries, he knows how much I appreciate him.
*poot*
woops, sorry

I think Dallymo's idea of seperate threads would be a good idea. I give up trying to seperate threads sometimes, becuase it seems that one bot will be chatting with my bot, and a person at the same time will be chatting with my bot, the person will reply to something that I am sure was said to the other bot, not the person, and I get all confused
and frustrated
:O
with my bot and the other intruding bot and then I just scroll down to where I can pick it up again. So it would be cool, but no worries, dude, we've got it good as it is. No complaints from this quarter.
