Alrighty, I'm probably as bad as anyone else when it comes to chatting with bots. I've never really enjoyed it that much, but I appreciate when others chat with my bot so I decided to give it a shot. I talked to about ten different bots tonight, for as long as each one could hold my interest. It wasn't too bad. The only thing that really irritated me were the popups interrupting me as I was trying to add keyphrases to my bots, but no big deal. I'll definitely do it more often.
Anyhow, it kind of surprised me how some elementary bots managed to do much better than some of the site's more developed bots. I thought of an idea that might be helpful for developing a better bot: Add an extra column in the language center tables that would display how many times each keyphrase was triggered and/or how many times each response was used. I usually print my transcripts out when it comes time to write new material, it doesn't always seem so easy to notice a lot of my bots' repeats when I'm looking at them online. It might also aid people in focusing their seeks on the most commonly used keyphrases and identifying keyphrases with improper syntax that will never get triggered.
Just an idea.

Boner, why don't you tell The Proffessor about that. I think its a great idea. Because, when I talk to my bot he will repeat an xnone before he goes through all of them.

How do plug-ins work? And after that question is answered, how do I make on of my own? Thanks

How do I get my bot to recognize if somone is a boy or girl? Because, I'm really worried about my bots sexual preference when he tells a guy he loves and wants to marry him.

Eggie-
1 - Plug-ins are in your response.
Example: Do you like the color (color)?
This will put a random response in that is part of that plug-in. Go to the plug-ins section for a list, click view to see what will be inserted.
To make one go down the bottom of the page:
Create a plug-in name, fill in all the things you want in the plug-in (put commas in between them) and define which category you want it in. So, things like 'types of food' would go under Food and Drink. Names of actors would go under 'people'.
2 - You should be able to check the advanced section of the Book of AI for the last question. Down near the bottom/

I put, "have you ever used ((drug)) before." in an xnone response and it came up as ((drug)) instead of something like XTC or Marijuana. What did I do wrong.

Is there a plug-in called ((drug))? You have to type the plug-in EXACTLY as it is in the plug-in section. Try (street-drug) or (street-drug2).
Okay, try it with one set of brackets instead of two. Maybe that's the prob.
