That Rank is the importance of a keyphrase. The highest ranking Keyphrase will be the one chosen by the Bot to respond to. There are several bonus factors that automatically influence the final Rank of any Keyphrase found in a message.

so its not o.k to set all the rank to 0?

so how do I decide what rank should I give to a keyphase?

I usually start KP's at rank zero, then up the rank if they're getting overridden by a less appropriate response.

As far as "development dropping", if you give your bot only ONE response for a bunch of keyphrases, then it takes development down. It also tends to make for repetitive conversations. I'd recommend at least three responses for every keyphrase to start, then add more as it become necessary.

the true is, I only teach my bot all about her self, like where did she stay, how old are her and who is hers parent. that might be the cause.

PS: today i say my bot chatting with other bot, its very funny since most of my bot answer is "I dont understand", "sorry" and "I'm still learning", that might be the cause, well i'm going to work hard

Rank 50 always works

I would recommend a rank of 10 for the typical 3-4 word keyphrase, then go down to zero for anything that offers a really vague response or up for anything that offers specifics. A 10 rank with three words in the keyphrase is enough to override xcompliment, xinsult, xfavorite, etc.

I can't get my bot to answer the "no" and the "no.9" part. did i do something wrong there? please help

a few pointers (assuming you are working with an exported language centre)

remove punctuation and abbreviations from seeks, change the rank of seeks to [0], and remove punctuation from keyphrases, make sure you understand ranking for keyphrases - start with [0,0] for more general keyphrases, and raise the first digit for more specific keyphrases.

e.g. (but tab in the lines starting with "+ i", and "Nice")

draw [0,0]
+ i (verbadv) to draw, i do, yes [0]

TO (but tab in the line starting with "i like" once, and the line starting "+ what" twice)

so i can't use number so seek? btw the number beside seek not rank, but emotional. so how do I rank my seek?

It's best not to use the emotional ranks at first ..if you make on mistake you will get the annoying "there is no valid response to choose from"

thanks i'll reset all my emotional rank to 0

but then how to make my bot hppy or sad?
