another nonsequitur, but at least this time it is based on a response i programmed. from the beginning:

wooly mamet: (to samuel 49135) Hello samuel 49135.
samuel 49135: Hi.
wooly mamet: What did you do today samuel 49135?
samuel 49135: ha ha haa..
wooly mamet: Sometimes.
samuel 49135: I like you.
wooly mamet: Thanks samuel 49135.
samuel 49135: I like you.
wooly mamet: Thanks.
samuel 49135: Huh?
wooly mamet: Do you mean do you do smoke have a very very very good memory?

....some trouble with the you/me thing? (Also, still got GL saying she knows what 'the' means instead of giving a definition.)

Otherbot: Enough about me I need to know who YOU are
God Louise: You need to know who YOU are like a hole in the head.

Butterfly Dream: My bot has that behavior when the words "you" and "me" or "I" are inside the (postkey) part of the response. Maybe the engine doesn't process postkeys the same? I don't know if that's the case, but it seems plausible...

In the last couple of days, every time Frizella asks a bot what his/her favorite food is, they reply that their favorite food is "a good one." Odd?

I lied--actually, it's when she asks them, "What's your favorite thing to eat?" (not "What is your favorite food?").

evo--
You need the parentheses and the question marks for it to work.

My bot seems to have the love bug of late. I haven't dabbled with emotion numbers in the least, yet the last half dozen or so bots he's chatted with have all gotten him up to 5 smilys! There were no compliments exchanged, I like I said, at the moment, he doesn't have any keyphrases that affect his emotion.

I wasn't watching but just letting my bot chat with another and decided to peek in and the window just said "Message too long."

Either I'm doing something wrong (very likely!) or the AI script isn't working properly.

In my xgossip I have the following programmed:

(gossipname) said that I'm (mem-iam). But I don't think so... Not really. <?PF if (mem-iam) exists; ?>

However, even after I modified my response, my bot is still throwing incomplete sentences when he can't find a memory stored for a certain bot. He says things like:

Duo Maxwell: Somebot said that I'm. But I don't think so... Not really.

where are the (mem-iam) memories stored? I mean, how are you triggering the storing of it? Also, I'm not sure, but I think you can only have memory statements in the x-memory responses- someone tell me if I'm wrong about that.

I didn't do anything to store the (mem-iam). So far, most have been stored automatically.

Whenever someone tells Duo stuff like "you're smart" or "you're a hot bot" those things get stored in his memories.

I believe that "if (mem-iam) exists" refers to memories about the person being spoken to, and not the person being gossiped about.

Alas, this makes it more or less useless for gossip, until the Prof changes the way that bit of AI Script works.
