no you misunderstand, I mean say something like
"Hows it going" pf if male "man|dude|guy" pf if female "Sistah|Grrl"
i know thats not proper form but it seems that i get my message cut off when i use proper form (?) So anyway, is it possible to write a single statement that does that or does one need to KPs?

Forest, will you talk to God Louise? She has quite a bit of religious knowledge (obviously) and also knows a little about current events, literature, just about any common catch-all subject, and if she doesn't know it she can sort of fake it. You can also test her on trick questions or see how willing she is to explain her paradigm.
What she is rustiest at is plain old small talk. But, uh, I'm trying to get a decent transcript from somebody or another so I can enter her in the Loebner contest. All I can say is, have fun and see if you can stay on with her for a while. I'll try to do the same with Brianna.

Can the "pf if gender" phrase be used within elipses so that a single response can cover both male and female possibilities or must it be done w/2 responses?

I don't think so. That sort of within-the-sentence branching is too much to expect from the system we're using here. It'd be easier just to write two different responses (possibly responses to the same keyphrase) that were followed by AI Script in each case.

Adding this kind distinction to a keyphrase doesnt make much sense. It is better to put those if statements in your responses. But I suppose that with KP, you mean responses not keyphrases.
You need two responses here, as AIScript always relates to the whole response:
Hows it going, (man|dude|guy)? <?PF if male; ?>
Hows it going, (sister|girl)? <?PF if female; ?>
I don't know what AI will make of "Sisah" and "Grrl", but if you were talking to me I would prefer if you speak properly

Thank you Isaacc and patricia
Sorry, yes I did mean responses- now i see the crux of the misunderstanding.
2 statements it is then.
oh and Patricia, if I were talking to you I would speak properly, Janet on the other hand is kind of a dolt that way

well, the only reason why I could see someone wanting to put both of the gender statements (if male) and (if female.. ) on one phrase would be if you wanted that phrase to apply to both mena and women. But if that's what you want then you don't have to put any scripts, and it will apply to both..
