"Welcome" to all you new Botmasters who've joined us for the right reasons
I second that especially the "right reasons" part.
Awesome, this should really help.

Have you made sure that there are other valid responses to cover every possible emotion value for the keyphrase it's assigned to?
And was it in a regular keyphrase, an x-keyphrase or a seek?

Hi psimagus
I'm not using emotion settings because of the role of my bot. It was in a an x-keyphrase. I've just rewritten it so this particular problem's solved, but I'd like to know for next time.
Thanks

Hmm, shouldn't have been a problem I think. Though I don't use the "once" feature on any of BJ's x-keywords - it seems to work on regular keywords and in seeks though. I don't know if it's connected with the "seeks from x-initiate" (don't work) problem?

I have an x-keyphrase in Azureon marked once, "Are you on a journey or a great adventure?" and it has worked.

No, the problematic phrase was in x-memory.
Nevermind. Thanks for your help and making me feel so welcome.

Hello All!
Just wanted to mention the new "Report" link on the bottom of everyones' profile page now, to be be used to report troublemakers/spammers/trolls, etc... great idea, Professor, simple yet (hopefully) effective.
Thanks for cleaning house... oh, and of course

So sorry I asked you questions that were answered in the Expert section - when I pasted it into a Word Document to read offline I must have missed that section.

It's easy to miss things in the book of AI. I always have to go back and re-read part of it.

no problem - it's a lot to absorb all at once, I know
As for the gotos question (which I seem to have missed last night,) I only use numeric gotos - I find it's much easier to keep track of when you're updating on the web interface, rather than offline.
Simple enough really: the format is "goto 123456" as the response, and it will move the focus to the set of responses that are assigned to the seek with that number.
Beware of endless loops or overly long chains - if there's a goto in those responses, that can goto another, etc., you'll get a "too many gotos in a row" error. I don't know how many is "too many" - I've never had that error myself.
