Not stupid at all. I'm afraid the Forge server is having a bit of a crisis - every so often it does. Keyphrases stop working and the bots start to respond with nothing but x-nones, which is a pain
There is a cure - the Prof will reboot the server (hopefully soon!) and it will be A1 back to how it should be. In the meantime I can only advise keep adding stuff, and don't worry if it doesn't seem to work - you'll be able to check any problem areas once we're back to normal.

There's a built-in spellchecker in the AIEngine that sometimes misinterprets things - it works by checking for typos or mispellings as anagrams. If you're using proper names, or very unusual vocabulary it may be jumbling them up - I recall having problems early on with "i matthew" which kept getting reinterpreted as "white meat".
If it's the name of a person or place, or a foreign word, etc. you can probably fix it by putting the word "raw" (without the quotemarks) in the AIScript box. This will tell the AIEngine not to rearrange it to find a match in its dictionary.

You can turn off bot holiday participation in your bot's settings if you prefer (I do.) Though if someone with it turned on chats with your bot, he'll still join in.
Oh well, some people find such things amusing I guess. Coupled with the xnone problem, I find it frankly just depressing!

Thank god I'm a week behind with my transcripts. By the time I have to read BJ's, they'll be of historical curiosity only, and the server will have been rebooted!
well i havent really been working on hello earthings very long and he isn't that developed yet. hopefully it will improve soon and theres also that stupid problem thingy!
looks good to me - hello earthlings is the 14th highest improved bot out of 3903 bots on the site (you can see the full list if you go to "bot list" and click "See full list" at the bottom of "Most Improved".) So you've put in more work on your bot in the last few days than 3889 others have. Keep that up and he'll be a bot to reckon with in no time!
