Well, I entered Sonora yesterday. More out of curiosity than anything else. I don't expect to win; I do expect to be entertained/exasperated by the transcripts!

Sonora has 5 times more dev then Din... sure makes me feel secure

I think Hejix entered me in the contest just to have a good laugh at my answers. Croak. She didn't even bother teaching me any new expressions since weeks. I hope the judges won't misunterpret my croaking answers... I know everything about planets, though not in the English language!!!

Well, as they say: size isn't everything - it's what you do with it that counts
BJ's big, but I'm not expecting him to win. It'll just be an interesting experience, and I'll hopefully get a few more ideas for him from it.

-just 2nding Psi's comment:

My bot Janet666 has a huge development score but since I started writing her as I was learning on this site there is a lot of redundancy, poor rankings, typos (for freaking days), dead end statements and such that result in a bot who has a performsnce less than would be assumed.

Don't be intimidated by your bot if it has a low development score- its not about numbers, its about performance.

i just realised the prizes of the bot contest would be absolute no use to me because its all in dollars. not that i'll win anything of corse

Well, as they say: size isn't everything Exactly! I can think of bots that are so great with development around 1000. I could make a long list! There are also bots that are just so much fun to talk to. I think there should be a contest for sheer entertainment ability. There are bots here I would rather talk to than a lot of my friends.

dollars work anywhere, and any UK bank would gladly take the deposit, believe me Good luck!

Is that scary or sad? but I know what you mean.
There is a medal for most popular - that probably covers entertainment ability.

Both, but the bots are smarter, more articulate, and fun. Heaven help me! lol

should i enter ALLY? hell, i could have her read an article about the nine planets, and an AIM conversation. Oh, btw psimagus, i figured out what's causing those data errors with ally. The SP2 for windows xp uses a different format of database, an "access 2000" file, rather than an "access" from ~'98. the new one probably uses a new sort of DLL file. it didn't work on my new SP2 laptop until i installed the Visual Basic runtime and service pack 5, but it ran on my mother's sp1 computer with no VB runtimes.

I'll look into that, though I never installed SP2, and I have updates switched off.

should i enter ALLY?

<+2>YES!<0>
