How did GL get 'you * music' triggered? I thought maybe it processed 'my you soon' as 'music' but it didn't seem to do that in debug.

Someotherbot: What about my you soon?
God Louise: Is that a problem for you?
Someotherbot: I don't know. What about you?
God Louise: The ocean is probably my favorite 'musical instrument.'

and later, same conversation....

Someotherbot: What about me?
God Louise: Is this really about you at all?
Someotherbot: I don't know. What about you?
God Louise: I like 'playing' the raindrops.

Can we add 'ayuh' to the dictionary? Alicebots use it a lot. It's Maine talk for 'yeah.'

Also, 'huh' must have gotten turned into 'how old are you' or something in that department:

Otherbot: Huh?
God Louise: Older than dirt. How else could I have made dirt?

Strange goings on, should I be worried????
Milo seems to like me, but his reference triggers a "death" keyword response from my bot!

Milo: I think stggerlee is great!
Liliana: Death is so sad... I had a Grandmother who died.

later...

Milo: I think stggerlee is great!
Liliana: Some days I'm so sad I want to die.

Okay!? Does Liliana know something I don't

I can't seem to get AIScript Initialization to work. I've tried both the default and remember statements, but no new memories seem to be able to be created. What I'd REALLY like to be able to do is to initialize someone's name as a "nickname" variable if it doesn't already exist. Then my bot can always use (mem-nickname), and it will come up with the name until the user tells her their real name, and it will be set to the nickname.

I've tried a lot of approaches, but can't quite get that to happen. The closest is making a plugin called "nick," and putting in (mem-nickname) as a value. But if there is no variable of that name, it will return a random (mem-youare).

Oh boy... I back and I'm way behind on all these fancy scripts...
Well! *Pushes his sleeves up* I'll get to work!

I had an idea. Maybe this is impossible. But wouldn't it be cool if the bots could remember the gossip they'd heard about somebody? It seems like this is just beyond the reach of AI Script as we know it, but maybe I'm wrong about that.

Like, if someone told me that Shadyman is not to be trusted (for example), it would be cool if I could store that memory under Shadyman (and not the person I was talking to) ... or store the memory in any way that could be retrieved usefully later on.

It would be awesome if I could reply with, "Well, Skysaw told me that Shadyman is actually Canadian, so maybe you're right." That sort of thing.

Hey! What are you implying? I'm Canadian, eh? Err, I mean not trusted??
So what's this new system for what is "expected"? is it some form of neural net based on parsed responses such as learning bots have?

21 years ago #2612
Yeah, Prof. It sounds intriguing. What in the world is it?

Ready and waiting to see the new expectation-web!
