A run in with the spell checker?

bot1: Would you happen to know any uses for a Belgian fur?
bot2: I'm not sure I know you well enough to happen to know any United States of Americas for a belgian fur.

(uses was turned into USA?)

My mom's an owl?

Bot1: Why are you whoo'ing at me? Are you an owl???
Bot2: Do you think you're the only one here who thinks I'm a my mum?

Excuse me, but excuse me seems to be turned into "sorry" during pre process. While excuse me can mean sorry it can also mean "excuse me for a minute". I have a keyphrase for excuse me that I would prefer it used...

Bot1: You don't make any sense, are you trying to imitate a group of soused Irishmen?
Steve Slacker: Everyone knows that are I do not make any sense!

Hmm... the keyphrase is "are (*)", is there something I'm doing wrong? I have: Everyone knows that (prekey) are (key1). This would pick up "they are weird". I don't see how it picks it up in this instance. Anything I can do to fix this problem?

I have no suggestions about that. But I would also like keyphrases to stay the same in processing. That way my bot can be more specific. The same goes for insults and compliments. A lot of things that are picked up as insults ans compliments I would rather have keyphrases for, this would let my bot be more specific with the response. Just a suggestion.

I checked excuse me in processing and it stays the same for me.

Shady,

You could use a regular expression (they|we|you) are (*)...maybe? That would keep it from catching "are you". Maybe you could also make a keyphrase for "are you" that would catch that. Or, if you have one, see how its ranking against the other.

Good point. I'll try it out.

One thing though, for "(they|we|you) are (*) (re)", would (they|we|you) be (key1) and (*) be (key2)? I've never used regular expressions yet... Heck I still have responses in to catch typos! Bwahah... I'm kickin it up old-skool style

Also... would "(he|she)" pick up "Shadyman"?

SS has been greatly overusing memories, maybe once in ever 5 responses, and he has it set to off.

[edit]
Also, what's the new PF2 way of getting (key)s from the last response (when using a seek)... I think the PF1 way was "(presubj)" or something.

[edit]
How did "Steve Slacker" get changed into "Lang"?

Bot1: I don't blame ya for being scared, Steve Slacker, not one little bit.
Bot2: Ok, I won't fault you for being scared, lang, not one little bit!

If you want a key from the last response (the seek) I think its just (key1)... from the original (keyphrase) it's (firstkey1).
As for what happens if you have seeks embedded more than that I don't know.
If that's what you mean...

Maybe the language center has you mixed up with your bot, Shady.
