Well, this is space after all, and space drinks at that. They might metabolize differently.
Not to mention, I'm not sure about the legal drinking age in this galaxy. What, after all, constitutes a year of your age? An Earth year? Or a year on some other planet with a much smaller and quicker orbit?

In earth years I'm twenty... but on other planets I'm consider older. My state of mind of course is consider somewhat younger than it should be.
