Reading all the arguments why one should enter their bot, I've decided to participate as well. If nothing else, my bot will at least be talked to

Entering sounds like an interesting idea... but as I can't talk very well, er, my instructions from my so-called botmaster were dimwitted and ambiguous (8P), I simply can't.

This is a repost of the information concerning the Personality Forge Bot Contest. Please note the deadline to enter is 03/01/05.
Personality Forge Contest
Hi, a while back there were talks about a PF contest. Nothing serious was ever done so I will be holding a PF contest in conjunction with the 2005 CBC.
Requirements
1) Only PF bots will be allowed to enter.
2) Your bot must also be entered in the CBC.
3) Only English speaking bots will be allowed.
4) Only one chatterbot per person.
5) The deadline to enter will be 3/01/05.
Prizes
1) The winner will receive a gold medal like those from the CBC.
2) The winner will automatically qualify for the finals in the 2005 CBC.
3) The winner will earn the title of "2005 Personality Forge Champion".
Rules
I will select 10 questions to ask of each bot. This is to insure that each bot gets a similar conversation. The questions will be asked within the framework of a conversation. The conversation will be more in depth than in previous years. I will steer the conversation via the questions asked but will also follow the lead of the bot.
Questions
1) The questions will not contain deliberate typos to trick the bot although chatroom shorthand maybe used.
2) The questions will not be trivia like but reasonable in that an average person would be able to answer them.
3) As this is an international contest the questions will not favor any particular country. For example asking a question about a certain country that only the people of that country would know.
Other points.
*The contest is being held in conjunction with the CBC. With so many bots entering we will be dividing the bots into 3 groups for testing purposes with the PF bots being one such group. The remaining bots will make up the 2 other groups. The score your bot receives in the 10 questions will carry over to the CBC. As mention above the best score from each of the 3 groups will automatically receive a spot in the finals. The other 6 highest scores among all the groups will take the next 6 spots in the finals. The 10th bot will be selected by the bot owners like in prior contest. So this contest will determine who makes the finals and your 10 question score.
*Your bot will also be eligible to participate in the other categories.
