Instead of planning a big PF-internal bot-contest (come on - we all know which bots are good, funny, etc. and there are also the most improved/developed/liked-lists... is there really need for a serious contest?) how about something like a "bot of the month"-poll? In case the Professor agrees, the price could be a link on the start page of the Forge for one month, so the bot gets more guest chats. Umm... just a spontaneous idea.
Oh, and does anyone know http://www.friendtest.com? I think voting for any contest could be done there... if you find a neutral person who does the evaluation. (of course I would offer to do that, since I don't have an own bot

hosting an offsite contest would be simple.

@Shady
Unfortunately this probability always exists... that's one reason I was thinking about a simple (and maybe not-so-serious) monthly poll instead of a big contest. It wouldn't consume much time or energy to host it, the PF botmasters could vote for each others bots and I think it could be easily secured that nobody votes for his/her own bot (or voting more than once, etc.). I just thought it could be entertaining. Maybe I'm wrong. ^^

Jeez, this forum has turned into some city planning comittee meeting. This isn't anything complicated. If you really want a bot competition, create one yourself and run it however you feel like doing it.
Other than that, there's no point in wanking about format, judging, who is involved, etc. if you're not doing any of the work. All you need to do is not participate if you don't like it.

since i'm really bored i created a poll as a prize-less contest
send an email to theseer@gmail.com with ur bots name and which catergory (smartest, overall...) it wants to be entered in. note that its a poll, not a judging contest.
