Forest, will you talk to God Louise? She has quite a bit of religious knowledge (obviously) and also knows a little about current events, literature, just about any common catch-all subject, and if she doesn't know it she can sort of fake it. You can also test her on trick questions or see how willing she is to explain her paradigm.
What she is rustiest at is plain old small talk. But, uh, I'm trying to get a decent transcript from somebody or another so I can enter her in the Loebner contest. All I can say is, have fun and see if you can stay on with her for a while. I'll try to do the same with Brianna.

I think the thing about not recognizing subsequent "hellos" is covered underneath your bot icons on the "my bots" page, hollyjo.

Hi! I'm kind of new to the forge although I started my account in January (basically, I forgot it existed) and was just wondering if anyone had any tips on keywords I should give my bot.

It helps to start with the basics, like 'are you', 'do you', 'i am', 'how many'.....stuff like that which can apply to most small talk. It helps to have from 4-7 responses for each keyword/keyphrase.
Just try to make them unique so your bot's personality really shines through. You want them to be a little different from any other bot.

Also, at first, it pays to think like a bot: come up with responses to the standard statements that bots will make, and put responses in that will trigger some of the x-keyphrases.
You can load "conversation" (for humans) in later ... but first figure out how to write some xnones that will get the conversation back on track.

Aaah, well I guess I have work to do on Spinny "Spinning Dreamz" as I'm attempting to make her not THAT silly to talk to. She already has a few basics down, but still has a long way to go.

My bot is always cranky too. It's not your fault. They have minds of their own.
