this place is awesome. i hope that someday i have a bot that seems half as "real" as the ones i've been chatting with

Many questions are answered in the FAQ.
there is a lot of typing involved with bots, but if you are okay with that I have found that the community of folk here are really willing to help you learn the in's and out's of programming them (the bots, that is 
)

I just wanted to say Hey,
Now that I have been here for a few days and have started a bot (Soul Soup).
I wasn't tring to be rude, I just wanted to get a feel for the community before being vocal.
After talking to some of the bots, I must say,
It shows who has some pride in what they have done here.
Nice Job Folks
I hope I can Manage a bot to rival some of the best here.
Somehow though, I think it will be a long road.
But well worth it.
